Where Aristotle supports Direct Pay, no: your ESA pays Aristotle directly through the program portal. Other programs use reimbursement, meaning you pay first and submit documentation for approval. We will confirm which method applies before you enroll.

What paperwork does Aristotle provide?

Everything your program requires: itemized invoices with the student's name, service dates, and subjects covered. We also provide progress reports and vendor approval documentation on request.

What if I have multiple children?

Each student's ESA funds are separate, so each student requires an individual invoice. We prepare these automatically when you sign up.

How is Aristotle different from ChatGPT or a homework app?

Answer apps hand your child the solution and forget them when the chat ends. Aristotle teaches the way expert tutors do: it asks your child to explain their thinking, finds the misconception underneath a wrong answer, and guides them with questions until they solve it themselves. It remembers what your child has mastered and plans what to teach next.

How the TEFA works

Texas runs two programs, one on Odyssey and one on ClassWallet. TEFA (Texas Education Freedom Accounts) is the state's new flagship program: initial funds reached nearly 73,000 students on July 1, 2026, and the program crossed 100,000 funded students on August 13. Awards are approximately $10,474 for private school students (up to $30,000 for students with disabilities) and $2,000 for homeschoolers. The application lottery runs February through March at educationfreedom.texas.gov. PDSES (Parent-Directed Special Education Services) is a one-time $1,500 grant for public school students with an IEP, with applications each April at pdses.tea.texas.gov.
